Michael Schwebius

Michael Schwebius puts his goals as a designer this way, "I create designs that make sense, look good and are functional." This vision guides his design of every product, so it's no wonder his work is so popular with professionals and the general public. Schwebius trained as a cabinetmaker and, after studying interior design in Flensburg, began his career as a designer in the furniture industry.

Michael Schwebius has been a freelance designer since 1987. He opened a design office in Munich, but now lives and works on the south German lake Chiemsee. His office deals with corporate design, international trade fairs, interior furnishing and product design. Schwebi's collaboration with Schönbuch began when he designed the STICKS coat rack, STICKS MINI and TRUNK, a large capacity shoe cabinet for families and fashion enthusiasts.
