Since 2002, under the leadership of architect Oki Sato , the Nendo group has been presenting a sophisticated and refined alternative to classical design, making extensive use of innovation and creativity. "Nendo" means clay in Japanese, and the studio chose this name because the Nendo Group's mission in interior architecture, furniture and graphics is to be malleable and flexible like clay. In just a few short years, Nendo Group has already won several international awards thanks to its unrivalled commitment to modern design. Irony, nostalgia and humour are evident in their designs.
