Philippe Tabet

Philippe Tabet was born in Versailles and studied industrial design in Lyon. He completed his academic studies in Paris, where he began working with industrial and international design studios. Driven by a desire to gain a deeper understanding of the history of furniture, Philippe Tabet moved to Milan in 2011, where he began his professional career in the furniture industry. In 2014 he decided to set up his own studio, with the manufacturing process, materials and their specific characteristics at the centre of his work. Philippe Tabet' s work focuses on the search for the "true essence" of the material and his inspiration comes mainly from different manufacturing processes, with particular attention to objects from past eras. Tabet believes that every object must tell a story that comes from its own time.
