Piergiorgio Cazzaniga
Born in 1946 in Liss as the son of a cabinetmaker, he was close to furniture from childhood. From 1966 to 1971 he worked as head of research and development at Boffi Cucine, during this period he was involved in the process of European standardization of cabinet sizes and built-in home appliances for kitchens. In 1991 he founded his own studio "PIERGIORGIO CAZZANIGA DESIGN" in Lentate sul Seveso, where he worked mainly with many international brands.
In 1995 his Mariposa chair won the "Chair of the Year" award, in 2001 the Bloom chair was chosen for Living Divani and in 2004 the M1 and Lofty chairs for MDF Italia for I-DOT. In 2004, the Lips chair for Dema won the Chicago Athenaeum of Design's "Good Design Award". However, Cazzaniga is a very talented designer, so the awards he has received for his work run into the dozens.
