Quaglio Simonelli
Quaglio Simonelli is the work of Andrea Quaglia and Manuela Simonelli, who graduated from the Università del Progetto in Reggio Emilia. Their studio is based in Paris. After their debut and a two-year collaboration with Philippe Starck, they set up their own design studio dedicated to providing design services for several market sectors, believing that diversity is a source of creative richness. They design technology products, create furniture and decorative objects, conceive visual identity and product design for cosmetic brands, alternating between industrial logic and artisanal approach.
The results of their work carry inspiration from their history and creative worldview. In this way, they design objects that look familiar, yet are imbued with unexpected and poetic elements. Their designs have won many international awards: the Red Dot Product Design Award, the IF Product Design Award and the CES Innovation Award. Several of the products they designed are now part of the collection of the National Foundation for Contemporary Art at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
