Roberto Semprini
Roberto Semprini was born in Rimini in 1959. He studied architecture in Florence, where he graduated in 1986 and joined the design group Bolidismo a year later. He then moved to Milan, where he worked on the sets of the show "Fuori Orario" for RAI 3 and on the furnishings of the Bolidò disco. In 1993 he was included in the prestigious international Top Ten selection in Düsseldorf with Tatlin, an original spiral sofa inspired by the tower of the same name. A year later he won the Young & Design competition with the "Manta" table in curved crystal made by FIAM .
In addition to his active design work, Semprini has given seminars and lectures at the University of Reggio Emilia, the European Institute of Design in Milan, the ISIA in Florence, the I.A.V. in Orleans (France) and the Politechnico di Milano. Currently he teaches design at the A.A.B.B. in Brera-Milan. He has collaborated with Edra, Arredaesse, Moroso, Tonelli, C.N.Intern., Ferrart, Trivellini, Camaeti Arte, Play Line, R.S.V.P., Valdichienti, Laboratorio Pesaro, Alivar, Ciacci, Pedrali and Scab, for which he created the SUMMER and GIULIA collections, among many others.
