Sam Baron
Born in France in 1976, he received his undergraduate degree in design at the École des Beaux Arts in Saint Etienne and his postgraduate studies at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. As a freelance designer, he has worked with Louis Vuitton, L'Oreal and Ligne Roset, among others. He now lives and works between Lisbon, Paris and Treviso, Italy. He is the recipient of numerous international awards and in 2010, during the Maison & Fair Objet competition, he was selected by Philippe Starck as one of the ten most important designers of the next decade.
His work is continuously featured in international press such as Monocle, New York Times, Le monde, Elle and Vogue and is included in international museum collections. His work involves collaborating with a team of young designers and designers and combining their creative skills. His clients include Hennessy, Airbnb, la Redoute and Vista Alegre and his work is characterised by clean lines with a touch of history in a modern and luxurious way. A typical example of his work is the Grace armchair or sofa.
