Sezgin Aksu, Silvia Suardi

After a ten-year collaboration with the studio of architect Michele de Lucchi, Silvia Suardi and Sezgin Aksu decided to start a collaboration in 2001 that led them to their own architecture and design studio based in Milan, where they worked on interior design, private houses and public spaces, exhibition plans, design and graphic design. The diversity of their cultures and backgrounds is a strength of their extensive work, which touches on all aspects of design, from architectural spaces to communication, always finding compromises and peculiarities to incorporate in every single project.

Sezgin Aksu was born in Turkey and has moved between Germany and France for work. He has worked on projects around the world or in companies such as Olivetti, Siemens, Telecom Italia and Aksu, and has taught at the Istituto Europeo di Design/Milan and NABA/Milan.

Silvia Suardi is Italian, she did her studies between Milan and Spain. In 2001, Suardi and Sezgin co-founded AKSU/SUARDI in Milan , which serves a wide range of people from public spaces to home decoration, in the field of industrial furniture and graphic design. Suardi, who has also worked in various international magazines, is also the author of two books.
