Houe Denmark is a Danish brand founded in 2007. The brand concept is based on traditional Scandinavian design. It places great emphasis on classic craftsmanship, which gives the products not only stylish Scandinavian design but also high comfort. Production is carried out in established factories where great effort is made to ensure perfect output control of all products and the highest standard of craftsmanship. Houe products pride themselves on their quality natural materials, their perfect workmanship and, last but not least, their affordability.

The Scandinavian style is based on a relationship with nature and is reflected in the design in simple lines and graceful, unmistakable proportions. Scandinavia is the cradle of natural materials such as wood and stone, and HOUE Denmark proudly draws on this rich heritage. HOUE DENMARK embraces Hygge
The design of the furniture corresponds to the relaxed Hygge lifestyle that the vast majority of Scandinavians and fans of traditional coexistence with nature follow. One of several projects we have completed is for a Hygge Restaurant in Holland (pictured below).
Collaboration with designers
HOUE products are not random mass production, but original pieces of furniture where every detail, joint or component is carefully selected or designed by HOUE's team of experienced designers.
DESIGNER // HENRIK PEDERSEN:
"Does design really matter? Maybe not, but for me it's pretty crucial. Designing forms and functions that open up new possibilities is exciting. The passion for design is with me in my mind, soul and heart wherever I am. My main inspiration is neo-Scandinavian design, influenced by the atmosphere of London and the lightness of Amsterdam."
Elements ofall these styles have led to exquisite combinations of materials and functions with new and original ways, but always keeping the look clean and simple. Hendrik Pedersen is behind Houe's now famous designs. His designs include the CLICK outdoor chairs, the LEVEL collection, the CIRCLE and LEAF dining tables, SKETCH, the classic SIKO dining chairs and the EYELET tray tables.
,,I believe design should be practical, simple and straightforward. I design products that bring fun, make people laugh. My inspiration is usually a familiar shape, feature or small gesture that most people are familiar with, I simplify it to the basics, elaborate and implement it in a new context."
The functional details then enhance the whole new concept in an interesting and expressive way, giving the object a unique character that will be unique to customers. Roe Mgdassi contributed to the HOUE brand with the unique design of the EDGE tray tables.
DESIGNER // THOMAS PEDERSEN
Thomas Pedersen graduated from the Aarhus School of Architecture in Denmark in and later that year founded the design studio SPARK. His company's designs embody Danish modernity with a clear emphasis on simplicity. It combines classic organic lines with innovative ideas and details. His fascination with furniture design comes from the fact that it is possible to create models of many concepts that only come from his head. Thomas Pedersen firmly believes that only by doing this is it possible to test the properties of his own products, assess their durability and ensure that the results match expectations. Over the years Thomas Pedersen has won numerous awards for his designs, most famously for the Stingray chair he designed for his graduate project in Aarhus. He created the revolutionary FALK dining chair for the HOUE brand.
We stopped looking at waste as a problem and started to see it as a resource from which we can create. So Houe created a chair made from recycled plastic.
Sustainability and ecology by HOUE DENMARK
Sustainability and responsibility go hand in hand with the brand's philosophy. FALK consists of three parts; the shell, the seat and the legs. All parts are created with respect for the environment, using natural materials and responsible sourcing. The FALK chair has been designed to last a lifetime. The revolutionary chair has received great international recognition in a short period of time, winning the German Design Award 2020 for outstanding product design and even being one of the finalists for the Danish Design Award 2020. Great design combined with a sustainable profile makes the HOUE brand a proud company eager to walk the line of producing eco-friendly products of the future.
References and implementations
HOUE supplies its clients with high-quality furniture that is also suitable for the contract market. Aluminium models are protected by a strong aluminium powder-coated lacquer, plastic products are in turn protected by slats against UV radiation and bamboo furniture stands out for its low weight. For each project HOUE places great emphasis on the best possible solution for the project, which is why the brand is one of the best in the world.
